Looking far beyond
The never ending night
Waiting for the darkness
To fade into the light

When the dawn is peaceful
Everything will be still
Yet when it seems it will not change
You always know it will

The day will break, rooster crow
The night, so far away
The time has come for all of us
To welcome in the day

Although I know, I always have
I sometimes will forget
The sun will rise, it will shine
Then surely, it must set

The sky is crimson, air has cooled
One last glimpse of fiery light
Then, light is gone and knowing we must
We welcome in the night
