Click hereStill, Tim could not help but be amazed that Cindy was capable of having an affair and that she was able to keep it a secret for as long as she did. However, he knew her well enough to know that in a certain sense she was relieved to have the whole mess out in the open. Noticing that their food was on its way to their table, and not interested in Cindy's rambling explanation, Tim leaned back in his chair. Pushing it onto the back legs, he thought, "I don't know about you, Stan. But, like Shanna, I'm quite sure that I've traded up."
Not a bad story but you really, really need to get yourself an editor. There is a lot of poor spelling and in more than one place words have been left out which does make reading a little difficult!!!
I disagree with one commenter that this story could have been done in three pages. I think one or two would have been more than enough.
If you are going to continue writing, find yourself at least a couple of editors. Your work contains a disproportionate number of significant errors.
A glaring example is your use of "Tenants of Masonry" to identify the basic, most important principles or beliefs of Masons. "Tenants" are humans who rent or lease real estate properties - rooms, apartments, office space, parking spaces, etc. The critical principles are referred to as "TENETS". Significant difference!
Other than that, I found this narrative mundane, unrealistic and trite.
Annd? Waived? You write good stories but please get help with your spelling and then repost.
Nice little story, but grossly excessive dialogues and descriptions made the story really drag and drag and...
Longer is definitely not better in this case.
You have great potential, your attention to detail is good but excessive.
