I uploaded an avatar photo or header image. Why isn't it showing?

Avatar and Member Profile Header photos/artwork are reviewed before being published to make sure they comply with our site guidelines. These are the current Literotica guidelines:

  • Photos and artwork must be your original work and you must own the copyright - i.e. photographs that you yourself took, or paintings or drawings that you yourself created.
  • All persons in the image must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Image must not contain any hardcore sex or visible male or female genitals.
  • Image must not contain URL or other advertisement.
  • No bestiality, snuff, sexual violence, illegal acts of any kind, politics, religion, or anything meant to troll, spam, harass, or annoy people.
  • You may not use your Avatar or Header Image to impersonate or harass any other users or person.
  • Your image should meet all of the Literotica site wide publishing guidelines.
  • If your Avatar or Header Image is found to be disruptive by the Lit community for any reason, we reserve the right to remove it even if it does not violate any of the specific rules above.

If your image does not meet the Lit community guidelines, it will not be published and it will be permanently deleted from our servers. In that case, you can simply resubmit an image that meets our criteria.

We try to review photos as quickly as possible - usually within 24 hours. If you have a question about your Avatar or Header Image or you would like to report a concern with another member’s Avatar or Header Image, please use the “Report This Profile” link on the page or contact us with a link to the page.

If you believe that another Literotica member’s Avatar photo or Header Image is violating your copyright, please report it to us so that we can review and remove the offending Avatar or Header Image. See our Copyright and DMCA FAQ for more information.
