How do I remove my deleted story from Google or Bing?

This article is about getting content already unpublished from Literotica removed from search engines. If your story has been illegally copied to another website, check our FAQ about getting unauthorized websites to remove your work. If you need to unpublish a story you have published on Literotica, see our FAQ about Removing A Published Work.

Occasionally, a Literotica Author or Literotica Member removes a published story (or their entire account) and needs those pages to disappear from search engines quickly. We do not have control over third party websites, and each site has their own way of handling deletion requests. We have created this page to help authors get third party search engine links updated as quickly as possible. After unpublishing the work from Literotica, please find the site below that you are interested in contacting.

Removing Outdated Content From Google

Google has a dedicated “Remove Outdated Content” that allows anyone to enter a URL and request that the URL be updated in the Google search index.
https://search.google.com/search-console/remove-outdated-content
You just need a list of URLs that you would like Google to re-index. Enter those URLs at the link above and Google will visit the URLs and update their search index with the new information. For example, if you have removed a story from Literotica, and it is still appearing in Google search, you can submit the original URL and Google will eventually remove that work from their search index.

Removing Outdated Content From Bing

Bing has a similar tool to allow you to remove outdated content from their search index.

As with Google, above, you just need to enter the URL(s) that you want Bing to re-index into their form and wait for them to update.

If you are having issue with a search engine or website other than Google or Bing, please search for “Remove Outdated Content” and the name of the search engine to find helpful articles.

If you need additional help, you can check the Literotica Author Support Forum or contact support.
