Saree swirls as she dances down the subcontinent.
From the Hindu Kush and the Himalayas
To the impenetrable depth of the Indian Ocean
Woven into her folds, sky, sun, moon and earth
Rainbow of colour, nature in its splendour
Draped in antiquity, aromatic of spices
Essence of Desi woman in her beauty
Vibrant, sensuous, knowing, complete.
