silver daggers drip in the sunlight
small quick drops of light
rippling splashes in melted water
shining like small stars on earth.

small quick drops of light
fleeing quickly through the air
shining like small stars on earth
to run along the pavement

fleeing quickly through the air
children laugh and play
and run along the pavement
and lick icicles like a favorite treat

children laugh and play
rippling splashes in melted water
licking icicles like a favorite treat
while silver daggers drip in the sunlight.

i forgot to put in some of my earlier poems that were also stylized, that I write some of my poems in different poetry forms, this one is called a "Pantoum" (hence, the title), and that's why it repeats the lines. they're fun, but hard, and if anyone wants to try one, you can google it and there's lots of different sites that provide the formula!

Delightful

I love form poetry and write it so poorly that I am always amazed! Good job.

these poems with repeating lines always make me dizzy, I swear it! Nothing personal, even the classical ones. I tip my hat to you, they are not easy to do! I get claustrophobic when I try. I should give it a go again.
