"I got some good advice on that front, and I've been happy to remain anonymous. I can't believe I didn't recognize you. These two attacks happened around the same time. I remember being very interested in your story, because it mirrored my own in some ways. Hey! You changed your hair! Damn. That red looked good on you."

"Sorry sweety. It was just too noticeable. Maybe I'll let it grow out again. You say you followed my media coverage, so your terrorist attack happened first?"

"Uh, I couldn't tell you exactly. The weeks immediately after were pretty hectic. I barely had time to contemplate the holiday."

"Holiday? What holiday?" Ivette asked.

"Why, National Tapioca Pudding Day of course. To think that terrorists would attempt to sully that day of days..." I chuckled.

I looked to Julie to see if she was amused, but she had gone bone white.

"July 15th?" She rasped. "Are you telling me that your attack was on July 15th?"

I was confused by her sudden intensity.

"Yes... How do you know that? I wasn't aware that anybody actually celebrates tapioca pudding day in America, let alone in France."

"I looked it up." Ivette said. "The Louvre attack... it happened on July 15th, 2016..."

Now we were both as pale as ghosts. It couldn't be... Could it? The same day?

Ivette turned to me.

"Sam, have you ever had déjà vu?"

But that's another story...

....

I see that this was the author's one and only story submited to Literotica. Hopefully he's writing and making money from his efforts elsewhere. Reading through the comments (and there werr a lot) it amazes me how much things have changed over the last 7 or 8 years. In 2017 almost all the comments were specific to the story and consisted of a healthy discussion and not the slash and burn they have become now. Nor were they as polarised or polarising as they are now. Perhaps I'm basing my assumption on this story alone and possibly, if I checked other stories they might have exhibited the same level of pro vs. anti whatever the author wrote.

5 stars from me for a fun read esp. considering that I rate Groundhog Day on my top 10 most rewatched movies - much to my wife's dismay...

Absolutely awesome! If I could give it 10 stars I would. I have read the story two times and my only complaint is that there are no more stories to read from this author. I would definitely like to know where other stories he/she has written or published.

Glad he didn't rekindle with Julie. sure he had a certain kind of deep value to her but she was a sex toy. and would come up with another rationale at some point.

The only other thing is I wish some of the retribution on his and her fake friends would have been visited in more detail.
