Dear readers and followers. It is with great sadness that I must report that I have been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. As I reflect on the last few years, there were none of the classic symptoms that one would expect and I had no real warning that this truck was coming at me head on. Although the original prognosis was fairly good, albeit terminal, the disease has resisted pretty much every treatment protocol so far and I'm afraid that the end is much closer than originally predicted.
Men. The PSA test is a simple blood test. Get one. If your number is at all elevated, (greater than 1) get a referral to a urologist and don't take no for an answer.
