Anonymousover 5 years agoI enjoyed the read. But men like her Ex simply cut the monitor off and disappear. There is literally millions of dollars in unpaid child support out there when men refuse to accept their responsibility. No Police Department in the US has the resources to check an ankle monitor every hour. And as far as paying for his rehab? All she needs to do is march into human resources and drop her husband from her insurance. As for her new husband? I hope he didn't bite off more than he could chew. Two kids and a third on the way and they both seem to work in some type of factory. Not exactly big money there. But the story was very satisfying. Thanks for the effort.

There is a clarity in this writing challenge.

Anonymousover 5 years agoI’m not really sure what the point of the story was? Frankly there didn’t seem to be much in it that was romantic nor was there anything that kept me reading aside from the fact that I knew it was only 750 words.

Anonymousabout 5 years agoAnonymous 2/22/19; you want a zipper ripper then buy a few paperbacks at a local ABS. This was a quick look into how a loving couple might handle their problems. Only problem I noticed was the gender reveal. Usually the ultrasound is done between the 18th and 22nd week. And she shouldn't eat like a horse, just an expectant mother who wants a healthy baby.

Anonymousover 4 years agoJust to clear up a point of yours, their are plenty of dead beat moms out there, the court turned a blind eye to my ex after I was awarded custody of my two girls. I didn't push it too hard, without the support she was out of our lives pretty quickly by her choice. Note to the husband in this little ditty - the bigger the cushion, the better the pushin'. Damn people, look up the definition of a flash story. Good job, Q and not a utility knife in sight. Signed: BTW

fredbrownabout 2 years agoOh darn! Here I am, a pervert from the word go trapped into reading a sappy love story and I couldn't stop reading it till the end. This kind of thing could almost ruin me or at least short circuit my ornery little mind!
I guess I'm stuck with saying that I love the story 5 stars worth .......

Anonymous11 months agoDamn cute. I love it. But I don't think you can determine gender at 2 Months. One small issue with a beautiful story with plenty of character all done in a captivating concise manner. A very strong 5 star story

According to several medical websites, including The Woman’s Clinic in Little Rock, Arkansas:
"Starting at the 9th week of pregnancy, your doctor can order a blood test for noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT). NIPT checks for chromosomal abnormalities, such as Trisomy 13, Trisomy 18, and Down syndrome. During this test, the doctor looks at the placental DNA in your blood to indicate whether there is an increased risk of your child having a genetic disorder. More testing will be required if your NIPT comes up with positive results.
As your baby’s chromosomes are included in the DNA examined by the doctor, the fetal sex can be determined by looking for the male Y chromosome. If absent, your baby will be a girl.
