Both (Eventual) Hubby and (Eventual) Sweetie hide critical information from each other, largely out of fear the other would not understand the 'way they were!' Bad to sign a lifetime contract based on misinformation, and issues hidden from the other partner!

The sex, to this part of their early history, sounds like it MAY have been hot and fun, but is expressed as fairly dismal and disjointed experiences.

Give him a break. If this is what gets you going this is not a bad story. Could be longer but it reads quite well. Way better than the revenge stories about cheating wives, which have minimal erotic content.
