Everybody brings up the old trope that inherited money becomes joint assets. It does not and never has. So long as the inherited money is kept separate it remains separate property.

4 stars better than most!

I’m curious why she denied cheating when she was cheating and had and then claimed her Private Investigator husband didn’t have proof? Like…what the fuck?

And if she was so in love with her husband that she could cheat on him guilt free….why did she want him back?

And the fact you couldn’t answer any of those questions showed that you had no idea how to justify anything. Or that cheating is cheating no matter what the reasons.

It is a good story, but what ruined it for me was that Brian murdered or had someone murder Thomas Benson. I guess I am too civilized to be okay with that. Even if it is just in a story.

So basically he’s a man-whore, money in exchange for… well we all know what that’s called.

As JPB is wont to say ‘just more of the same’. The man has talent but rarely uses it, just imagine if he wrote a really interesting story.

PowersworderPowersworderover 2 years ago

"I never did ask her why she stepped out on me in the first place."

Surely one of the first questions a betrayed spouse would ask is "why?". Even if the cuck husband doesn't want to find out why Lorna cheated on him repeatedly, I was curious what her motives were. She seemed desperate to prevent the divorce and sincere in her declarations of loving him... so what possessed her to get chain fucked by work colleagues?

I don't understand how he could forgive his wife and reconcile with her, when he doesn't even know why she strayed in the first place. I think reconciliation with a cheater is always a huge mistake, but if he has no idea why she strayed, how could they ever address the problems in their relationship and prevent future infidelity?

She also cheated on him with at least 6 guys that he knows of... and fucked them all bareback. Why would any man want to stay with a slut like that?

The husband tossing aside Melissa at the end also made the development of their relationship pointless. She was beautiful, they were great in bed together, and shared the same views on infidelity. Why would he throw away a prize like her to reconcile with the town whore?

Very disappointing ending to what might have been a good story.

Rather predictable storyline until the ending, which actually rescued this tale — that and the tongue in cheek/humorous tone. Not a 5 star effort, but had its entertaining moments.

I had just finished reading your collected works on Literotica, and I was sad that I was done. Then, as if from heaven, out pops this new story! Thank you! Not only is it new, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if our hero murdered a man. That's kind of an unacceptable response to a cheating wife. It was jarring that it was treated so casually in the story, but then I guess that's due to the narrator being the murderer. The rest of the story, though, is excellent. (I know, I know. It's kind of like asking Mrs. Lincoln, "Except for the assassination, how did you like the play?") It also ties in cupidity with Cupid, which is kind of cute. 5* ~~ JB

JPB. You normally don't make major mistakes in your writings. Re the Trust. Your lawyer could be sued for incompetence if your case was based on including the proceeds of a Trust as part of marital assets. A Trust is a separate entity all on its own. Lorna does NOT own the assets held in a Trust: the Trust owns them. Therefore the assets are NOT included as marital assets in time of divorce. The ruling by the Judge was correct.

Actually, the Trustee of the Trust could decline a request by the beneficiary (Lorna) for a large portion to to paid to her husband! She would need to justify that type of transfer.

I liked it. He definitely married for the money (kind of) the second time around. Lots of unanswered questions - did the wife ever notice missing boyfriend number 1, did she ever cheat again, did Brian and Melissa get back together - temporarily or otherwise? Sign of a good story is when you want more. Nicely done.

Given what a money grabbing bastard he was I'm surprised he didn't got for a post-nup when she first challenged him about the divorce. "OK dear, I'll drop it if you sign a post nup where I get everything if you cheat." Because he's obviously not one and done.

Nothing likeable about Brian, once the judge declared the trust off limits, Lorna should have run... fast! As he already showed he no longer loved her oh and then destroy his business...

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Leonard, I interpret the story a bit different than you. I do agree that the judge (and you) are right - an inheritance should be excluded from marital assets BUT I read it as the trust funds are now being released to her - having been held by the trust till a certain age. In that case JPB is right.

iameaseliameaselover 2 years ago

I get where this was going but it seemed more like a story meant to find a reason to have a cuck in it. The old, and you'll agree, too often used premise of lets write about a cuck that isnt a cuck, so we have a cuck story people will accept. Seems oddly familiar here for some reason.

So it didnt work for me.

He better be looking for a places to secretly hide some money.

PervertedKnightPervertedKnightover 2 years ago

2 stars from me. As Scalia and Mr. Spencer correctly point out, there are SEVERAL types of assets which are NOT includable as marital assets in a divorce, and one of those is inherited property. This poor murderer would presumably have been able to learn that fact through some simple research. Additionally, as Mr. Spencer points out, people set up trusts for people for various reasons, one of which is to keep sons-in-law and daughters-in-law from getting a share of those inherited assets when a parent dies (in the event of a divorce). Depending upon the terms of the trust, the cheating wife may or may not have been the trustee or her trust and if not, may or may not have met the criteria for getting her share of the trust. I therefore found that aspect of your tale to be a bit too far-fetched. And then there is the whole question of why the wife was cheating in the first place, which the gumshoe never asked and which you never provided to your readers. I found that to be far-fetched. If our gumshoe hadn't been a murdering, cheating, greedy sociopath, I might have liked this story better, but since almost every character was despicable, I could only give you a 2.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Respectfully disagree with sbrooks. This is a raac story. Reconciliation at ALL COST. The cost happened to be 2 million dollars....

1Thinkingman1Thinkingmanover 2 years ago

Divorce is just a piece of paper, like a marriage license. She gives him the money and marriage is still over. Why keep her after he got 2/3s? Would have only gotten half in a divorce. The curb is still there, use it.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

Kind of a punt. You left a few things out. First, the human being parts, like why was his wife cheating? Wouldn't that come out in the counseling? Seems oddly coincidental that the wife fucks a bunch of different men who are convenient and available during work hours. This appears to be more of a mental or emotional dysfunction than a lust or outright disrespect thing.

Next, the husband has a lot of hall passes coming his way. Since there is so little emotion or depth to this marriage it should be a simple accounting problem to add up all of Lorna's recreational fucks and the husband gets a pass to balance the books. Thus he gets to continue fucking Mellissa for some time, and maybe some extra unaccounted for fucks.

And since Lorna actually GAVE HIM the money, he can squirrel that away in an untouchable location, and then just let the marriage simmer. If the whore rehabilitates herself maybe the marriage will last. If she eventually gives in to her social pathology he's got a boat load a money and a free exit. As to children, he's complete insane if he has children with this wack job of a wife. He would be better off to just treat her with indifference and detachment until she finally throws in the towel and asks for a divorce, probably so she can marry one of her more talented fuck buddies; who cares?

So it was OK, just a lot of opportunities missed. But thanks for the effort. And thanks for allowing real people to make real comments. There's a reason these author cliques are called circle jerks. And you don't need a penis to participate.

Stay well.

ReedRichardsReedRichardsover 2 years ago

Of course Anony would stay with her for $2mil.

He’s got a pretty good deal here. She’s good in bed, and now he can start moving that $2 mil to the Caymen Islands. If he was willing to stay half a year to try to get half, why wouldn’t he stay for a year to get 2/3?

But she’ll cheat again. Some commenters complained that we were never told why she cheated, but I know the answer. The clue is that all of her boyfriends were from the same building, and it tells me that the reason is that she’s just a pushover. For some women, that’s all the reason required.

ReedRichardsReedRichardsover 2 years ago

Anon claimed that JPB was the most over rated writer on this site, but Harry in Virginia has said that would be me, and I don’t want to share that title!

carvohicarvohiover 2 years ago

I think I read all the comments. Jesus Lorna is stupid. Her husband's a P.I., and she didn't think she'd ever get caught? So she loves him, and she knows he loves her. Here's the bottom line. It's easier to stay with a woman who promises to repent than it is to cut her off and try to find someone completely new. Forget the other woman, she was as easy as Lorna. Forget the cuckold crap; Lorna never got pregnant so our hero wasn't raising anybody else's brat.

So take the two million, keep the slut, buy a cabin cruiser, and go fishing. Or since JPB probably lives in Colorado, buy a cabin and hunt grizzlies. Enjoy the money, enjoy Lorna, and forget the bullshit about pride.

A man walked into a bar and asked a woman if she would live with him a year for a million dollars. She smiled at him lastly and responded “absolutely”. He said how about one night for $2,000. She slapped him, and angrily asked, “what kind of girl do you think I am.” He responded with, “we know what kind of girl you are. We’re just haggling over the price.”

We know his price. Although likely she overpaid. I bet she could’ve gotten him back for one-third, or even less. That’s why they say you shouldn’t make major financial decisions when you’re emotional.

BTB? RAAC? Nope.

This calls for a new one. My suggestion is RAMP (Reconciliation At Most Profit). After all, he is a man-whore!

Carioca_ManCarioca_Manover 2 years ago

It's not the first work by JPB I've read. But the first one I voted for.

I gave 4 stars... Whenever I vote, I give 3 stars, mainly for the writing challenge. As this work went beyond that, it took another one.

I like the result of BTB to RAAC best. I don't see the reason for violence, only the traitor should feel the weight of the consequences of his actions and somehow suffer for them.

Reconciliation can always not exist. In a real world, nothing is completely black and white. Everything will depend on the situations and what you can learn from everything that happened, and everyone always tends to learn from the problems.

The Law did not side with the husband. Otherwise, she would be entitled to more than half of the trust fund. As read in several texts on the same theme, Justice in the USA will always give more to the woman... even if she is a lying and ordinary slut.

He had his choices: he could walk out of the marriage, horns and no money, or he could have horns, plus 2/3 of the trust fund and a post-nup that would give him the final third if Lorna cheated again... .

As many said: "each man has his price...", and Brian's was 1.7 million dollars.

He had his dose of extra pussy with Melissa, Her husband was already fading away in peace, it wouldn't be a problem in the future. Maybe even Melissa was willing to be the "other" woman...

And if Lorna shit on him again, he'd have a lot of money to spend on Melissa or any other woman.

The story was good. The path taken by Brian and his decision at the end were worthy of a common drama.

If I would like to know why she betrayed me? I follow Brian. Why know? I'd let it go and hopefully win a few hundred thousand dollars and the ultimate chance of giving him a huge pain in the ass.

But that's just my opinion.
