First, I think we can all agree that the ubiquitous angry Anonymous poster is a dickless coward. It's easy and safe to take mindless potshots at authors when you have no account to identify you and no writings of your own to defend.

This story was rushed and therefore so was the development of the husband's response to the cheating. The anonymous posters who call the husband a bitch have either never been happily married, or have never been cheated on, or are so black and white about cheating that they don't consider either "for better or worse" or the desire to retain the fabric of what has been a good marriage and a good family.

And when cheating happens to you, revenge in the form of reciprocal cheating can definitely be a salve to the emotions. Don't ask me how I know. Emotionally (and rationally) it feels like evening the score. It helps the moste when the one who cheated on you knows that you did it.

And yeah, some of us feel that even in a committed relationship, including others in the sexual aspects of the relationship is acceptable. Not through deceitful cheating, but through mutual invitation. I'm extremely jealous and possesive (wish I wasn't...) and have been hurt by deceitful cheating, but have also enjoyed committed relationships that inlcude other people in open, shared sexual pursuits. The only character I can relate to is the SIL... Wife's miatake... well mistakes happen, but 'I love you very much but I went back to him and fucked him again to have the fuck recorded' is certifiable...
