Powerful Story

I am not a writer nor much of a critic but I thought you did a great job of conveying his emotions. Well done.

Sad but Well Written Story

I'm not sure if she made her decision before or after the stroke hit her. I appreciate Jon's character - he took a tough but logical and loving stand. Wow... intense story.

Outstanding Drama

Your ability to not only capture and torture your reader is ...exceptional. The husband refused to let the drugs his wife was taking rob her of her dignity. To adhere to principals both lived their lives by, especially in the face of adversity. Exceptional read. Thank you. Djmcljr

Powerful

But from the looks of things at the end and the almost unintelligible message the wife left on the answering machine, I believe the reason she did not call her black lover was that she had suffered a severe stroke and knew the end was near. It was a very moving and sad story. I still believe though she would have cheated on her husband had she not begun having seizures after he left so the title does provide a proper description of the story and for both their sakes I'm glad she died before she could cheat.

In Stone

Some things in a marriage are written in stone. In mine as most others honesty and fidelity are at the top.Good story, never heard of her condition caused by the drugs but enjoyed it.Keep writing, thanks.

What a Strong Tangible Emotion You Created

WOW - your description and sequence of events was entrancing - mesmerizing.

I don't think anyone outside your profession could have conveyed the downward progression the way you did.

However, am I correct that you made changes after your last editors review? Patience and discipline my friend are also necessary tools that you need to avail yourself to.

You can grow faster and higher but only if you force yourself to use the tools available to the end of the exercise.

what pure gibberish Literotica nonsense

a wife dying, lealving a little precious daughter and a loving husband behind, and the last thing she wants to do before exiting is to fuck the big black man who's been rubbing himself against her for the last a couple years?

LOL

"powerful, author," some idiot scream and then swoon! LOL

it's complete nonsensical garbage

Very Intense

A very intense story. It moved me. I cried.

holy CRAP; its so bad its laughable

The SOLE reason she didnt call her black lover was b/c she had a stroke whle the husband was out.

Now THATS true love.

the wife ignored his reasons... his pleadings...his shock of what she thought of the marriage... that her ast acts were to be NOT of him but a stange big cock..

the only worst than this TURD of a story is the reader who thought this was so moving they cried.

wopuldlisten to reason or respect or pleadings or did NOT bdecie

Dire plot, mindless characterisation, casual racism. This story is sicker than the woman's brain.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 16 years ago
Well, the thing I can say...

... is that there are always two sides of the story. I also got some serious doubts about the wife's intention had she not been on stroke. But the story is good and I like it...

Just continue writing... you are one great author to me and I rank you among my favorites.

coments to the commetators

Realdoc's coments: I tried to set up the fact that Sherrie was having hallucinations and trouble with determining reality. The side effects are fictional but remind us that research drugs have unknown side effects. That's why they get researched before FDA approval. Once a person develps seizures, consiciousness is soon gone in the type seizures Sherrie experienced. There are too many ignorant people peole who comment on things of which they know nothing. Interesting how the more ignorant a person is, the much more judgemental they are.

Sherie experienced an halucination at the last. After the stress of confrontation she became lucid, repented but people who halucinate do not sin, she repented anyway. Then she made the phone call but the stroke tha caused the final halucination broke out or her frontal lobe to cause a cascade of preterminal events. Sherie was never engaged in infidelity even though she consideded it at one point but made a rational decision to not do it. Her preterminal hallucinations were not made with rational decision making and therefore do not constitute infidelity. She actualy never planned a tryst..that was only part of her halucination. This story was written to illustrate the difficulty im making moral judgements about a person who has obvious brain disorders. I am pleased that the emotions came through to those with sensitivity.

Especial thanks to my international fans. My daghter in law is a Filipino. I have traveled and lived in South and Central America.

Finally, Loving Wives section of Literotica is not just for illicit sex stories. A number of excellent authors publish here with a blend of fantasy, sex, and history woven into excellent short stories.

I suggest that the really negative commentators try writing, then you will be more senstive to those of us who are at least trying.

Great piece!

Real, emotional, sensitive, & well written as usual. Pay no attention to the clowns / schmucks who just don't get it. Yes, the site is what it is, but remember that the catagory is: 'LOVING WIVES' which doesn't always translate to cheating slut.:

AnonymousAnonymousabout 16 years ago
Absolute Garbage

I would strongly suggest the author has an MRI to check for lesions.

Doesn't wash

Synopsis: rather contrived I thought. If Sherrie's hallucinating (and she is from the brain cancer and the experimental drugs), I would've expected her dreams to be disjointed and rambling, not tightly focused as presented here. If she's demented as the author suggests, then I expected her mind to be all over the landscape. Instead, she's lucid, rational and calm, certainly enough to execute precise planning to get the big black cock she needs. I'm certainly willing to suspend disbelief and allow the author some latitude in the storytelling but the portrayal of Sherrie's dementia in this story simply wasn't credible.

With that premise rejected, the rest of the story simply fails. Thank you for your effort.

Who cares

Who really cares what her reasons for wanting to expierance a large cock, shes a fairly young person standing at deaths door, why shouldn,t she be allowed a fantasy ,But I also know how her husband feels ,and I can realate to his feelings also,In the end she did the right thing and did not make the call, so why all the nasty comments ,try to put yourself in her place your young and all of a sudden your dying in the next couple of months what would your last wishs or fantasies be? think about that before you condemd her ,

AnonymousAnonymousabout 15 years ago
A Fantasy is that, not reality.

When a person moves from fantasy to reality then you have to react. What is someones fantasy is to kill you. Darling I am dying but my fantasy has always been to shoot you with a shotgun. Give me my shotgun and go stand over there so I can have my fantasy before I die. If we agree with some on here, it is a dying wish to change fantasy to reality and why shouldnt I go get the gun, hand it to her and then stand still for her to shoot me? A wife here has been wanting to be a slut for a long time, so long she has planned the event and even arranged for her flirting partner to come over and fuck her. It isnt her dying wish it is an accumulative set of acts that would have him fuck her. Does she love her mate and marriage partner no way in hell, she just had a stroke that prevented her from committing the final act of adultry. A shame now the husband has to remember a wife that was a common slut rathen than a loving spouse.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 15 years ago
no

some measure of reality did not ring true for the terminal illness, notwithstanding that...a cynic would say it happened before and she wanted a repeat experience.

I have to wonder

I have to wonder about what she had told her husband, I find it hard to believe she pressed against that big blk cock and felt it through his scrubs to the point of knowing he wasn't cicumsized and thats as far as it went, also why would it have to be blk to be big, like white men don't have big cocks ,I find that to be totolly untrue,in fact I read where the largest penis on record was a white mans,no I kind of think she knew a lot more about his blk cock than her husband ever imagined.I did enjoy the story the only thing I had a problem with was to much medical talk.

The author seems to have a formula for the majority of his stories and unfortunately for him , it is a bad one.

Soooo it is always interesting

When a layman tells a professional their job and whether they are right in how it is done or what they have done when doing it -

All those who have years of experience around people suffering from disease - raise your hands (I raise my hand)

All those who have lost ;loved pones to terminal disease - cancer or others - raise your hands (I raise my hand)

All those who know enough to say the story presented could NOT have happened as described - raise your hands (I do NOT raise my hand).

Everyone else shut the fuck up about whether this could have happened and comment on he he did with the story about it happening sheeeit!!

If you did not like how she behaved or how he did - critique it if you did not like his style critique it - if you just did not like the concept say so and move on -

1 star.

When you write a story and say she loves her husband then all she does is cheat, lie, and disrespect this same man and her marriage, sorry but this slut you wrote doesn't know the meaning of love, and you don't either.

AnonymousAnonymousover 9 years ago
confusing & dificult topic.

to me this story told the tale of a devoted husband & a devoted wife ,

dealing with terminal illness.

it dealt with the most god awful decisions one can be confronted with and also with our inability to cope in those circumstances.

to the btb brigade ..

the wife does not cheat in this story , she never betrays her husband.

what you have is a Dying woman , who has undergone long term experimental treatment for an incurable disease , who has suffered a series of strokes that would have further impaired her brain function & who is suffering an almost daily series of t.i.a ( mini strokes ) due to the tumours / lessions on her brain.

the things she says in the final days ARE NOT her speaking , they are a result of her brain cancer , and the treatment of it

the Author fails us all , in that although he covers his ass , by use of the "experimental treatment" nonsense ...

(so known /expected side effects can be dodged)

HE DAMN well should have covered the side effects of Strokes & repeated t.i.a's on a patient of this type..

the husband in this story being a medical doc /professional would of course be aware of those side effects ,

so .. whats the ending really about ,.

it's about one partner saying some hurtful shit that clearly is not true

and the other partner not being able to deal with it , only to come home and find that he has lost the opportunity to say goodbye to the person who was his world.

PEOPLE , you are better than this.

the fucking woman is on her deathbed , The medics have no further treatment for her.

they have looked at Hospice care / Palative care ... SHE IS FUCKING DYING.

she comes out with a load of crap , that is not her speaking / not her real views / not what she wants or means & her husband who has been alongside her for every step of this long final journey .. DROPS THE FUCKING BALL, and goes off on a rage trip , he obviously is not thinking clearly due to the knowledge that is wife could DIE at any moment ... so he bugs out to get his head out of his ass , only to return to find she has already passed on..

when trying to comprehend her condition ,

think early stage alzheimer's

think dementia

think lucid one minute and then the next moment highly intoxicated & concussed

then repeat the process randomly every hour , every day for a few weeks & you will have some idea what the dying wife & her husband are desperatly trying to dealwith and come to terms with ...then add in that at any moment YOU or the one you love most in the world will DIE.

xxxhugsxxx

love you all , but read it again plse folks.

Good thing the bitch died : )

I love a happy ending

anonymousinblueanonymousinblueabout 6 years ago

Well, I was laughing throughout the whole thing. I think it was slightly too dramatic to take seriously. Like being in status epilepticus for some unknown time in front of her daughter, that cant be controlled until examined at the er and given multiple drugs...and she lived to vent her urine and feces another day. So, they tried lorazepam, phenobarbitol, and valproate, but had to give up, intubate her and then give her propofol, the anesthetic that killed Michael Jackson, ketamine, and lidocaine in order to stop her hysteria. And they topped it off with xenon and nitrous oxide. Damn.

When I read "this paratrooper will kill you," I don't think being serious was ever the intent. What's next, are you going to put on your robe and wizard hat?

But the ending and the use of a human choice and not a damn plot device to get to it was good. The length of conflict wasn't unnecessarily long. So, the best way to reconcile this with reality is that this is a joke.

Good, but sad story.

Some of the comments make me laugh. They want revenge at all cost. What nonsense. I have heard of some very radical personality changes due to brain tumors. I suppose that in the right region of the brain, this is also possible. In the end, he was left with good memories of his marriage. Good story.

Schwanze1Schwanze1over 4 years ago
Wow

Every once in a great while I read and experience greatness on here. You can't judge her in a case like this. I've seen good men become entirely different after cancer and cancer therapy. Radiation therapy for brain cancer and brain cancer itself are especially likely to change behavior. Brutal position to be put in. What a blessing she didn't follow through and apologized before she was gone.

looking back at the story again, she did grab his cock awhile back. Could be she was already fucked up. Oh well. She's gone and he has a daughter to raise. Obla dee obla da

he could have checked

During her "big black cock" speech he could have taken her phone and looked to see if she had contacted anyone. That would help him know if it was "her" talking or the medications. He could have then just taken her phone away. She couldn't call anyone if she wanted to and was in no shape to do anything about it. Just stay at home with her and let her die.

I gave it five stars because it is one of the best short stories I have read in a while. Having been in a situation where death is imminent, I know that it is very difficult if not impossible to think clearly and rationally when the one you love is on the brink of death.

AnonymousAnonymousalmost 3 years ago

Writing is stilted and jargon overused. For an educated man, you sure make a lot of grammatical errors, e.g., too, not to.

AnonymousAnonymousover 2 years ago

That last paragraph got to me.

Yeah. No.

RealDoc? Usually if needing to proclaim it, then not.

If author is then additionally concerning with shallow fragile hypocritical religious overtones of his husband characters and doesn't lack of empathy and compassion for wife dying of brain tumors, just concerned with himself as "principled" husband and paratrooper...

inka2222inka2222about 1 month ago

Since she already part cheated with the asshole, I have zero sympathy for her. It's not the drugs, she admitted to touching the guy's dick before. Good thing she died. 4 stars. but only for freeing him from her.
