Very nicely done. I love the characters and the initial constraint you built into the plot. I’m trying to read every story twice now that I’ve started posting my own writing. If I enjoy the first read, I go back and try to learn why I enjoyed it so lessons can be applied to my stories. I read this one 3 times to be sure I could absorb your techniques and craft.
