This was a hell of a tale. A good tale to read if you're thinking about swapping but aren't really sure. I'm actually pleasantly surprised and I'm glad I read this offering.

No matter whether they condone it or not, cheating on the marriage is cheating even if both of them do it. Marriage is greater than sum of it's parts. Rebellious human beings that think they are smarter the God, constantly burn themselves and discover the hard way that there are rules for a reason. That reason is: to protect them, to help them have the best life possible.

This situation has happened a number of times with couples we know... the one who had the idea is the one pissed at the end...

This was a thought provoking, realistic tale about a marriage with communication problems. Very good story.

We can plainly see that they have problems that "swapping" can't fix.

More people need to understand that a marriage that has communication problems ISN'T a good candidate for swing play. Being with other people can never fix what is wrong between the spouses. Now can THESE two realize that in time to save their marriage? Maybe....but I don't even mind that the author didn't answer this question. Fixing what is wrong, and saving this marriage will take the rest of their lives. The only unresolved question is: Do they give up before they realize that the hard work would be worth it?

People in bad relationships should never consider swinging. I suppose it happens in real life. Maybe people think they can save a bad marriage by having sex with others? I've never met a couple like that, but I suppose it's possible.

This story felt like a lecture or a religious sermon. And I suppose it provides fuel for the anti-swinging crowd, enabling them to shout "I told you so!" But it didn't do much for me. I gave it three stars for the effort.

Swinging only works with people comfortable with themselves,where they can.communicate.The real protection for a marriage isn't rules written in a book but two people who love one another and can trust each other. Questions remain,did the wife chicken out or is she upset the guy didn't fit? If either the wife or hubby.felt uncomfortable,they should have been able to stop things and know their spouse would accept it. What you see here are two people without trust,and it leads to what you see hear,jealousy and anger.Neither can simply talk to the other or express their real feelings...I don't know if the author intends on finishing this,it can stand on its own but would be great if continued.

Possible plot spoiler - she gets mad and meets mr. big dick alone, gets hammered and then throws it back in the husbands face. Hopefully, she gets a disease and dies while he re-connects with big dick lonely wife and they live happily ever after.

To a truthful scenario than most here. Emotions well done, as sex between aquaintances really is difficult for many. One thing about swinging, for most it probably should never be done in seperate rooms.

That can save on a lot of questions, and suspicions.

Great story. They launched themselves into the unknown, her leading with expectation of great things, and him ambivalent, with sort of a resignation to go along with the unstated fear that if he shut it down, she might fuck the other gut anyway...and it didn't go so well.

When characters are talking to each other, they both (and us the readers) should consider that they are not necessarily speaking the truth. What do you say to your spouse if it was stunning mind blowing sex, the best you ever had? Can you, should you crush, your spouse's ego by telling them the other lover was hugely better?

Or should you make up a story, perhaps helped by acknowledging to herself that I liked it a lot, but now find myself wracked with wretched guilt , and never want to do it again. However, before you say that, your spouse tells you it went really good for them and jealousy that was a tickle, becomes a rage in your mind? So you construct a cover story to put it in the light you now want, and rage directs a guilt trip on them..

So maybe she told a nice lie, he was too big, I didn't like him after all etc etc. It says to him never again, and puts a guilt trip on her mate.

Sweetie1 and Hubby2 pushed this idea. Two things are probable ... most probable (95+%) is that Sweetie1 may or may not have articulated it first, BUT she took the major role in organizing it. I'm also giving 85-90% that Sweetie1and Hubby2 have already 'sampled the water.' Maybe not completely, but with His'NHers orgasms!

Next, it is clear that Sweetie1 has a very elaborate agenda, and that Hubby1 is CLUELESS! Probably Hubby2 and Sweetie2 are also victims of this agenda. Remembering that this is fiction, the sooner Hubby1 calls "BullShit!" on this agenda, the better he will emerge from this disaster.

It is also clear that Sweetie is perfectly willing to misrepresent what she and Hubby2 did. Several admissions sfter an initial attempt to claim 'Platonic Hour,' each disclosure showing more involvement. 'Inability to Fit' is an absolutely ludicrous claim. Hubby1 needs to buy Hubby2 a beer (very soon) and get (and give, if asked) a debriefing of the swap, from 'who had the first urge' to 'handshake leaving the room!'

Hubby2 and I cooked up this scheme.

My wife (at the time - Wifey1) was in-on-it - meaning she knew what had been cooked up - but hadn't agreed to anything, yet.

We started with strip poker ... and ended the game 'cutting' for partners ... but, Hubby2 and I had stacked the deck. Wifey1 agreed readily - and even helped Hubby2 and I convince Wifey2.

I'd urge you to continue the story, but it appears that's not going to happen. So to all the LW authors out there, please take a look at this story and consider writing your own conclusion. In fact, this would be a good story for two writers to take on. Each writes about one of the couples and then intertwine the story lines together. Please!

Writer wrote the death of two marriages. And did it in believable fashion.

I doubt if all the swap stories on here turn out happily ever after. Conflict is probably as common. This could have used a part two.

Could have been a supplementary scene to a novel later adapted for movie " Revolutionary Road " by Richard Yates. The libertine wife to shrew transition was seamless. Zelda Fitzgerald lives on in this downbeat snippet.

Bottom Line : I would enjoy further exploration of characters , but its complete as is. Ditto to all past ( and future ) compliments.

My wife and I somehow got talked into a swap, one of those same room deals, to this day I still think it was mostly her idea. . It was supposed to be just some naughty petting but the guy licked my wife, felt her boobs and then was in her for maybe 30 seconds, so we did it too, fair is fair. The idea of swapping crept into my marriage after a number of years. We had some friends who were into it and they tried, unsuccessfully, to persuade my wife and I to try it. My wife wasn't into the other guy at all so that wasn't going to happen. I think that she also feared an outcome similar to what was portrayed in this story.

I don't judge people who participate in these activities and find the idea arousing, but I think it is probably far more difficult to have an experience that is positive for all concerned than than swapping proponents would lead us to believe.

Sadly, I think that my wife was right and that many experiences end the way this story did.

This marriage is done. Decent story about the false promise that cheating will make your marriage better.
