On her first meeting with Shane, Elizabeth thought he was a bit rough and ready and probably carrying a few pounds too many. But he was young and had a presence about him that some women would find attractive. This certainly was the case with Belinda and several of Elizabeth's female work colleagues.

Elizabeth however wasn't the slightest bit interested in him. She was ribbed endlessly by the other girls that she must fancy him especially as he seemed to spend a lot of time in the store with her and if he wasn't coming in then he was constantly texting or emailing her.

Elizabeth got fed up in the end of telling them he wasn't her type and it was actually Belinda the manageress who seemingly fancied him. But the staff didn't want to let the truth get in the way of a good laugh so kept up with the pretence.

Richard also got on on the act. He'd found Shane's mobile number on his wife's phone along with a number of text messages. He knew there was nothing in it but ribbed her about it as well.

"Go on then, ask your mother about Shane the gardener," Richard smiled broadly, addressing their son Brandon who had popped in to see them. Elizabeth had already slipped him the thirty pounds he wanted to borrow without Richard seeing it.

"Who's that mum?" Brandon asked.

Elizabeth sighed. "It's nothing. He's a gardener that the store are supporting at the national garden show. We're giving him some display stuff to furnish the summer house that he's putting in his show garden."

"Yeah but that's not all is it Elizabeth?" Richard said with a grin. "Your mum FANCIES him!"

"I do not!" Elizabeth asserted. "Don't listen to your father, he's just being stupid as usual," she said to her son as he looked at her quizzically.

"Yep, hot on the heels of being told she was hot and sexy by your work mate Gary, she's now found a toy boy she fancies!" Richard said with a laugh.

Elizabeth could feel herself flush with embarrassment at the mention of Gary's name as the memories of them together came flooding back. She pushed them back forcibly.

"Don't be ridiculous Richard, he's young enough to be my son. And I've told you; I do not fancy him. If anyone does it's Belinda." She sighed deeply.

"Methinks she protesteth too much!" Richard said with a broad grin on his face as he misquoted William Shakespeare. "What do you think son?"

Brandon smiled back and nodded his agreement. "Yeah you're probably right dad!"

Elizabeth shot him a look. A look that said if he continued to agree with his father and didn't back off there was going to be no more money coming his way.

"Anyway, got to go now," Brandon said hastily. "See you both soon."

As she watched her son leave, Elizabeth turned to her husband. "You know what Richard; you really are a prick at times!"

Richard looked at his wife and burst out laughing. "Oh come on Lizzie, it's only a bit of fun!"

Elizabeth glowered at him before realising that perhaps she was over reacting just a bit. She swallowed as her guilty conscience surfaced, threatening to overwhelm her.

Shane Neville of course found out what the staff were saying about him and Elizabeth but made light of it. To him it was just light hearted banter.

He liked Elizabeth. She was extremely professional but had an easy way of dealing with her work. She never seemed to get flustered and he admired her for it. He could see why she had made the gardening section so successful.

And for an older woman she wasn't in bad shape. He was a man and so wasn't immune to how she looked. Compared to his wife, Elizabeth's body still had all the right curves in all the right places. Especially her ass. He'd never seen an ass looking that good before on an older woman. In fact he was hard pressed to think if he'd ever seen a better one on a younger woman. It was an exquisite shape and nicely filled out her work trousers.

Her breasts weren't far behind either. They also looked in good shape. Firm and big they jutted out from her chest with barely a hint of sag.

But overall even though she looked pretty good he wasn't really interested in her. He'd got his eye on Elizabeth's young assistant, Kirsty. With long, honey blonde hair framing a pixie face she was a tall, willowy girl with a heartbreaking smile.

Shane flirted with her at every opportunity, much to Elizabeth's amusement. She knew Shane was never going to get Kirsty no matter how hard he tried. She was in a deeply committed relationship, head over heels in love and was already living with her boyfriend in a house they'd just bought together.

"Right that's the last of it." Richard slid shut the side loading door of the van. He was at Elizabeth's work helping load all the items needed to dress Shane's summer house at the garden show.

"Okay then," Elizabeth said. Are you ready Kirsty? It's time we were going."

"Yep, I'm ready to go," Kirsty replied enthusiastically as she clambered into the passenger seat of the van.

"Okay," Elizabeth said. She turned to her husband. "Thanks for your help Richard and I'll see you in a couple of days time." She leaned forward and gave him a quick peck on the lips before climbing into the driver's seat of the van.

She wound down the window as she started the engine. Engaging first gear she pulled away. "See you," she shouted as she waved out the window.

It was two days before the opening of the garden show. Shane Neville was already there and had been for a couple of days as he got his garden design underway with the hard landscaping. The summer house had also been delivered and installed and was now ready for it's painting and dressing.

This was where Elizabeth and Kirsty were now heading. Belinda, their manageress had agreed to let them go and help out for a couple of days and head office had approved the expense.

It took Elizabeth and Kirsty a while to find their way to where the show gardens were being built. The site of the show was a sprawling complex of large halls and small concessionary stands all contained within large grounds.

The morning of the first day passed in a blur. Elizabeth and Kirsty set to and had the first coats of paint on the summer house before lunch. Shane had flirted endlessly with Kirsty but as Elizabeth had known she would, she brushed him off with ease.

What did surprise her however was that Shane then turned his attentions on her.

Kirsty found this hilarious. "We said you fancied him," she teased Elizabeth.

"I do not fancy him," she asserted in reply.

"Doesn't look like it to me," Kirsty said with a smile, "you know you love it really!"

Elizabeth shook her head. It was no use. For the girls at work fancy had the same meaning as wanting to be fucked. It seemed nothing she said was going to convince Kirsty or anyone else for that matter that she didn't fancy Shane as she so crudely had put it.

"Get on with your work," Elizabeth scolded Kirsty, "We've a lot to do."

Kirsty laughed as she turned back to her painting and Elizabeth couldn't help but smile.

Around midday, Shane's assistant Phil along with Kirsty volunteered to go fetch lunch. As they wandered off to find the food stalls Shane turned his attention to the summer house. He'd been so busy he'd not had chance to check on how Elizabeth and Kirsty had been getting on.

As he walked inside he was met by the fine sight of Elizabeth on her knees with her perfectly heart shaped ass sticking up in the air at him. She was paying particular attention to a tricky bit of painting and was oblivious to his arrival.

He paused at the doorway taking in the sight of her ass as she moved about a bit. It almost seemed like she was wiggling it at him on purpose. He felt a little jolt as his cock twitched. Now that was a surprise.

She must have sensed he was there as Elizabeth turned to look over her shoulder at him. She saw where he was looking.

"Enjoying the view are we then Shane?" she smiled.

"Yes... err... I mean no... I mean..." Shane coughed to clear his throat. "How you getting on?"

He crouched down next to her. She carried on painting revelling in his embarrassment.

"Just got this bit to finish off and then we're about done for today. It all needs to dry properly before we put a last coat of paint on later this afternoon and then we'll be ready to dress it tomorrow." She looked sideways at Shane. He was looking at her ass again.

She sighed inwardly. "Shane, are you listening?"

"What... err... yes of course," he replied shaking his head. "I... I..."

He didn't know what else to say. A warm fuzzy feeling was growing inside of him. Elizabeth smelt so good. He'd never noticed her perfume before but it smelt divine now. And her ass! He puffed out his cheeks. It looked so firm, so shapely, so inviting, so...

"SHANE!"

Elizabeth shrieked. It was then he realised his hand was fondling and squeezing Elizabeth's ass cheeks.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," he blubbered, quickly pulling his hand away. "I... I didn't realise what I... I...was..."

"Okay, okay, relax," Elizabeth interrupted, "there's no harm done."

They both stood up and she turned to face him expecting him to move away. But he didn't. He was too close and to make matters worse he was clearly staring at her breasts.

Shane's heart was thudding loudly in his chest as he reached out a hand and placed it on one of her breasts. He couldn't help himself. One minute he was looking and next minute his hand was moving. It was as if he was just an observer, watching someone else do it.

Elizabeth gasped in shock. She had not expected this at all. She couldn't believe what was happening as he fondled her boob, squeezing it gently.

"Shane, what are you doing?" she said as she made no attempt to remove his hand.

His other hand moved up to cup her other breast. He pushed them together and sighed. She could feel her nipples respond to his touch. And so could Shane.

As he felt her nipples swell so his excitement grew. He began to massage her breasts with more purpose, squeezing harder, pulling at them, fondling them, feeling their shape as they moved about inside her bra.

Elizabeth was being bodily moved by Shane's manipulation of her breasts. But she didn't seem to care. It was if she had switched off and was happy to let what was happening, happen.

Shane could feel his cock throbbing. He was so aroused he could barely stand it. He had no idea what had come over him. But he knew one thing. He wanted Elizabeth York.

His mouth met hers. They kissed deeply, hurriedly, their lips mashing together with fire and ferocity. Tongues found each other and as they engaged so their kisses grew ever more frenzied.

He pulled at her breasts, his hands barely able to grab all of her flesh. Her nipples were hard and erect and Elizabeth could feel a wet patch between her legs. A hand came down between her thighs and she automatically shifted her feet to allow it access.

As Shane rubbed into the vee at the top of her legs she opened them wider and moaned as he pushed his hand hard into her mound.

Her arms snaked round his neck as she kissed him harder, hanging onto him as he rubbed at her mound harder and harder. She could feel her legs beginning to buckle...

The slam of a car door brought them both to their senses.

"Shane... Shane... are you there?" They both heard the voice cry out.

They separated in an instant.

"Shit... it's my wife," Shane hissed. "What the fuck's she doing here?" He looked around, flustered.

Elizabeth quickly managed to rearrange her breasts inside her bra and smooth down her top. She bent down to look as if she was painting.

"In here dear," Shane shouted out. He looked down at Elizabeth. She was back on her knees and her ass was once more sticking up in the air.

He sighed, at the same time willing his erection to subside.

"Ah... there you are," Shane's wife came into the summer house. She leant up and kissed him. "Did you miss me darling?"

"Of course I did," Shane replied, smiling nervously.

"Well this is looking nice," Shane's wife said as she turned full circle inside the summer house, totally ignoring Elizabeth.

"So, what are you doing here," Shane asked his wife. She didn't normally visit while he was constructing the show garden, she came when it was all finished. He knew she didn't want to get roped into doing any work.

"Well I can't come later," she answered, "Mother has double booked me. She wants to go see grandma and you know I can't NOT go!"

Shane nodded his head in agreement. He knew his wife was only going to safeguard her potential inheritance. Grandma had a tidy sum of money tucked away and some day her family were going to reap the benefit of her shrewdness.

She wandered outside and Shane followed. Elizabeth was relieved. She now had a chance to get herself sorted out both physically and mentally. The physical side was easy. She'd already adjusted her clothing but the mental side...

Just what the hell was all that about? It had come out of nowhere. She had no idea that Shane had held the slightest lustful thoughts about her and she certainly had held none for him. So why had she responded to him like she had?

She looked down at her painting. She had painted over the same bit of wood for several minutes and paint was now dripping onto the floor.

"Blast," she said out loud. She reached for a piece of rag to mop it up.

"Here you go, here's your sandwich." The cheery voice of Kirsty rang out as she arrived back with lunch.

She watched with amusement as Elizabeth mopped up her spill. "Make a mistake did we?" she asked innocently with a smirk on her face.

"Ha ha very funny," Elizabeth replied as she stood up. She took her sandwich from Kirsty and unwrapped it.

"Who's that with Shane?" Kirsty asked looking outside as she took a bite out of her sandwich.

"Apparently it's his wife, not that she deigned to speak to me," Elizabeth replied.

Kirsty crinkled up her nose. "She's a bit on the plump side isn't she... and not that good looking either."

"Kirsty!" Elizabeth cried out in mock outrage, "you can't say that. It's rude."

"Well she is; she's a minger!" Kirsty laughed at her own joke and Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh too.

The rest of the preparation for the show passed off without further incident. Much to Elizabeth's relief Shane's wife hung around, which prevented any potential further contact between her and Shane and for that she was grateful.

A few days later and safely back at the store, Belinda gave Elizabeth the news that Shane's show garden had been awarded a silver gilt medal. Not what he wanted because of course he had been after the top accolade of gold.

Elizabeth texted her congratulations to Shane and then forgot about her brief interlude with him.

* * *

When Elizabeth and Shane had first met to discuss his requirements for the show garden he'd got her to 'friend' him on a social media site. Through this he was able to keep her updated on all aspects of the show garden, initially uploading the artists impressions of the finished exhibit and in particular for Elizabeth, the summer house. He also posted pictures of the progress made in the hard landscaping right up until her departure day. It had proved to be an invaluable tool.

However since then she was still getting to see whatever he posted. It wasn't as if he posted very often but when he did it unfortunately only served to bring back the memory of what had occurred between them. As time passed by though so the memories grew fainter. Eventually in her mind all that had happened was they had kissed briefly.

It was now several months later and Elizabeth had pretty much pushed the incident to the back of her mind. She was enjoying a couple of days off work when she received a phone call from her best friend Sally.

Sally was always coming up with great ideas of where they should go and what they should do and today she'd had another brilliant idea. One she was keen to share.

"I've had a thought," she said to Elizabeth. "I know it was ages ago but we never really did anything special for your birthday and me and Julie were talking about it and we've come up with an idea, which we're sure you'll like."

"Oh yes," Elizabeth replied with a touch of scepticism in her voice. She feared the worst. Sally was always coming up with some harebrained scheme or other.

"Yes, we have," Sally replied firmly. "Don't knock it until I've told you what it is."

"Okay, okay," Elizabeth replied with a smile. She could almost see the frustrated look on her best friend's face. She knew she shouldn't be winding her up but there were times when she just couldn't help herself.

"How about the three of us go to the Northern Garden Show!" she exclaimed excitedly. She paused for dramatic effect before forging on.

"It's in two weeks time. I've checked on the internet for the price of tickets and although it's a bit pricey I thought maybe you could tap up that gardener friend of yours to see if he could get us cheaper tickets, you know, seeing as how you fancy him and all that!"

"I do not fancy him! How many times do I have to tell everyone," Elizabeth vented with a hint of frustration in her voice. She sighed loudly before she realised that Sally was laughing at her down the phone.

"Oh very funny, I don't think," she said in mock outrage.

"Oh I wish I could see the look on your face right now," Sally replied, still laughing.

Elizabeth sighed again. "So what's the rest of your idea then," she asked.

"Well; Julie thought we could stop overnight at a nearby hotel. What do you think?" Sally paused.

"Sounds like a good idea to me," Elizabeth replied. "I wouldn't want to drive there and back in one day."

"Oh no, Sally interjected, "we're not driving there. We thought we could go up by bus or by train. That way none of us will have to drive so we can get some serious drinking done."

Elizabeth smiled to herself. Whenever Sally and her sister in law Julie went anywhere for a day out it invariably included drinking alcohol and usually a lot of it.

"So what do you think?" Sally asked hopefully.

"Sounds okay to me," Elizabeth answered.

"Great. So I'll organise the transport and you can sort out the tickets." Sally was good at organising things but was always impatient to get it done straight away.

"How soon can you get hold of your boyfriend then," she asked.

Elizabeth bit her tongue. She knew Sally was smiling, hoping for another reaction to her jibe but she wasn't going to fall for that one again. "I'll text him now," she said, " and I'll let you know as soon as he replies."

"Brilliant, right got to go. Things to do. Speak to you soon," Sally hung up before Elizabeth had chance to say goodbye. But it was usually like that. Sally could be extremely abrupt at times.

Elizabeth wasted no time in texting Shane. If she didn't do it now Sally would somehow know and would be ringing to chivvy her along. It was almost as if she had a sixth sense.

* * *

The day of the girls outing had arrived. Sally as usual had been meticulous in her planning. She had organised and paid for the bus tickets and Julie had booked the hotel. Not to be outdone, Elizabeth had come up trumps with the show tickets. Shane had not only provided them for free, he had also got her executive passes, which would enable the girls to move freely about the site, gaining entry to every single event and display including venues not open to the general public. It also included access to the after show party held for the exhibitors, sponsors and celebrity guests.

Sally and Julie had been most impressed and ribbed her that Shane must indeed fancy her to give her such great tickets.

Elizabeth ignored them both, refusing to rise to the bait.

There was one pick up point locally for the bus. Elizabeth had arrived early and had already taken her seat. As she scanned the other passengers she noted that her fellow travellers were mostly dressed in casual clothing, which put them at odds with her attire.
