John smiled as Julia rushed back inside to get her things. He didn't know where their journey would take them, but he was sure that he could help her overcome her problems. Together they would tackle the future – and probably have a lot of fun in the bedroom (and elsewhere) in the meantime.

The only improvement I could suggest would be a little more focus on your characters' physical appearance, but that is purely down to personal taste!
